Bags that measure no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ are permitted. Backpacks are not permitted. All parcels and bags being brought into The National Press Club are subject to inspection.

  • Professional camera equipment (e.g., detachable lens; lens greater than 3”; external flash; monopods; bipods; tripods; etc.)
  • Laptops, personal computers, and two-way radios
  • Laser pointers or flashlights
  • Illegal drugs/substances
  • Outside alcohol
  • Fireworks, missile-like objects, Frisbees, and any other form of projectiles
  • Outside food and beverages (excluding water bottles)
How can I get to The National Press Club by Metro? Toggle Answer
  1. Take Metro to Metro Center.
  2. Take the 13th Street Exit, take escalator to 13th Street; you should be at the corner of 13th and G Streets.
  3. Walk one block south to F Street.
  4. Turn right (West) and walk one block to 14th Street.
  5. Turn left and walk downhill to the National Press Building lobby.
  6. Enter and take the elevators to the 13th Floor.

No, re-entry to DAR Constitution Hall is not permitted.

From the Orange and Blue lines (A 10-15 minute walk):

  1. Take the Farragut West metro stop.
  2. Exit the station on 17th Street, and walk south on 17th Street towards Constitution. Turn right on D Street.
  3. The main entrance is in the middle of the block.

From the Red Line (A 10-15 minute walk):

  1. Take the Farragut North metro stop.

Metered street parking is available but limited. Monday through Saturday, two hour parking is enforced from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM for most meters.
